CITGO PETROLEUM
COMPANY
Citgo’s 2008 First Quarter POP program packs a triple wallop in value for the Retailers’. The comprehensive POP kits will showcase three, distinctive brand-building messages to Citgo customers across our regions.
· Locally owned and Operated
Each locally owned and operated Citgo location is deeply woven into the fabric of its local community. Recent proprietary Citgo research indicates that consumers would be more likely to patronize a gasoline/convenience location if they knew it was locally owned and operated. These new pump toppers will be the new permanent default pump topper, replacing the “We Accept Credit Cards” sign.
· A Sign of Hope
Another strength for Citgo is our long-term focus on providing help, hope and friendship to those suffering from neuromuscular disease. The “Symbol of Hope” POP kit will reinforce the contribution Citgo has made to MDA while providing a subtle reminder of the Shamrock promotion. Since not all locations participate in the Shamrock program, the message is more subliminal with the use of the shamrock visual.
· Citgo Fleet Rebate Program
A key component of the new Citgo Fleet rebate program is traffic-stopping signage and take-ones at location level.
The POP materials will be installed by Citgo prior to January 9, 2008.
MARATHON PETROLEUM
COMPANY
On June 30, 2010 Marathon Oil Corporation will end system
certification of the Gilbarco G-Site point of sale system and will require all
locations to replace their G-Site systems by that date. Reminders will be sent out prior to the end
of life date to make sure all dealers are in compliance.
