TEXOR PETROLEUM COMPANY

FUELING PERFORMANCE NEWSLETTER

3RD QUARTER 2008

ALL DEALERS

Winter is now upon us and it is time to remind you of the importance of keeping the snow and ice away from your fill area’s and spill buckets.  Please check your wells for water and ice and keep them cleaned out at all times.  Also, check your fill and vapor caps for cracks, missing gaskets and make certain that they fit properly.  Loose or broken caps can cause major problems with snow and ice melting.

Please keep supplies of salt on hand to ensure that the drivers will have no problems delivering your product.  It is NOT the driver’s responsibility to clear snow and ice prior to unloading product.  If no one is available to clear the snow and ice, the drivers are not responsible for any damage caused by them to make your delivery.  If a driver is delayed due to clearing of the elements a demurrage charge may be applied.  A conscious effort on your part will help to make the winter deliveries go smoother and keep the driver’s on a timely delivery schedule.

It has come to our attention that many locations are not following procedure when a prompt appears on your POS equipment to “call for authorization” or “call 1-800-xxx-xxxx”.

When you receive this prompt you must call the authorization phone number that is printed in your credit card guidebook or the number appearing on your console.  A 6-digit number will be given to you upon approval that you must enter to complete the sale.  We have seen a significant amount of charge backs with 2, 3 or 4-digit numbers being used as authorization numbers.

We have also heard of customers telling cashiers that ‘corporate’ has given them an authorization number to use in case a problem arises at the time of a sale.  Please ignore any number the customer may give you if the sale is refused or needs authorization.

If you or your cashiers are just punching in random numbers to complete the sale, you will be charged back for them.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CASHIERS KNOW THE PROPER PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING AUTHORIZATION.

If you have any questions, please contact your Texor Representative.

EXXONMOBIL

ExxonMobil is offering new design gift cards that can be purchased in denominations of $25, $50 and $100.  The good news is that the 2% prepayment fee has been eliminated.  The Gift Cards will be activated at 100% of the face value when sold.  Any Cash Cards that you currently have for which the 2% prepayment has already been collected can still be sold.  You will only be charged 98% of the face value of those cards as they are activated and sold.  Please log on to the RPM website to order or go to www.drivercash.com.  These make great gifts so make sure to have plenty for the upcoming Holiday Season.
