Citgo has announced that it is lowering their Visa and MasterCard fees effective June 1, 2007 until August 31, 2007. The new fees are 1.5% & $0.15 per transaction, down from the current 1.6% & $0.15 per transaction. With the summer driving months upon us, please make every effort to keep your POP materials current and locations looking as good as possible to help drive your volumes up. ExxonMobil has announced a reduction in credit card fees beginning June 1, 2007 and ending on July 31, 2007. New fees are 1.85% & $0.10 per transaction for Visa, down from 1.95% & $0.10 per transaction, MasterCard and discover fees are 1.9% & $0.10 per transaction, down from 2% & $0.10 per transaction, American Express and JCB fees are 2.8% & $0.10 per transaction, down from 2.9% & $0.10 per transaction. Speedpass fees have been reduced .1% on all Speedpass transactions.
ExxonMobil has informed us that there are still about 600 Educational Alliance Grants available ($500 per grant). Each dealer is eligible to apply for one grant per station and they are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. If you have a school that would like to apply for a grant, please contact your Texor representative to get you an application. This should be done soon as these grants are very popular and will not last long.
Marathon has announced a reduction in credit card fees that began on May 23, 2007 and will continue thru July 31, 2007. New fees are 1.89% & $0.12 per transaction for Visa and MasterCard, down from 1.99% & $0.12 per transaction. American Express fees are 2.6% & $0.13 per transaction down from 2.7% & $0.13 per transaction. In addition, Marathon has decided to temporarily eliminate the discount rate on the Marathon Platinum MasterCard from Chase. This temporary fee reduction should further support your summer Cobrand solicitation efforts as well as provide further impetus to build your Marathon Platinum MasterCard base.
Marathon has announced a new format for locations that fail on the Mystery Shop Program. The format is as follows: 1st time failure costs you $30 for the shop, 2nd consecutive fail is $100, 3rd is $250 and the 4th is $500 with a mandatory debrand. Please pay attention to keeping your location in tip top shape, be in uniform with a name tag and let’s get all the shop scores above 80%.

ConocoPhillips has also announced a temporary reduction in credit card processing fees. Visa and Master card have been reduced from 2% & $0.10 per transaction to 1.9% & $0.10 per transaction. American Express and discover have been reduced from 2.5% & $0.10 per transaction to 2.4% & $0.10 per transaction. By now, you should have received your ConocoPhillips Co-brand MasterCard promotion kit. Effective June 1, 2007, consumers who apply and are approved for the Co-brand MasterCard will receive a 15% rebate for 60 days on Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 purchases. The “earn 15% rebate for 60 days” offer is for new applications approved by August 31, 2007.
